Our Goal: The Dream is Simple
Represent NZ
Representing New Zealand on the world stage has always been the dream.
But dreams take more than talent — they take training, travel, and a whole lot of teamwork. Every competition helps build the experience and exposure we need to qualify for international selection, and every bit of support helps make that happen.
A season of travel, lessons, and competitions means months of hard work, careful planning, and big heart. Together we can turn that dream into a flag flying high for Aotearoa.
Meet Katrina McGregor
I didn’t grow up in the world of horses. I found my way here through pure determination and a lifelong love of animals. I started riding at eighteen on a borrowed school horse and never looked back.
Over the years I’ve faced my share of hurdles, including injuries that changed how I move, ride, and live. But I’ve never let that stop me. With every challenge, I’ve learned to ride smarter, train kinder, and keep pushing for better.
Today, I’m a proud Para Equestrian competing at Para Grand Prix level with my incredible team, Leo (BBS DaVinci) and Fievel, as we aim for international qualification.

The gentleman of the team. A talented 9-year-old gelding who’s gone from eventing to Para Grand Prix, Leo has the heart of a lion and the patience of a saint. Together we’ve lifted our scores by more than 10 percent in our first season and are chasing even more this year.
Fievel
The cheeky younger brother with big-arena dreams. He’s been with me since he was a foal, and every ride is a step closer to his own Paralympic debut.
Willow Wisp
The baby of the family, just starting her journey. She’s a reminder that the future is always growing — one hoofbeat at a time.
